Eugene Halliday (1911 – 1987) spoke and wrote about the essential truths that are contained in all religions, and taught that the art of Reflexive Self–Consciousness is the highest level of individual development.

To be unconditioned is to be free. Awareness of awareness is therefore free. Consciousness of consciousness is consciousness that is conscious of itself, which is the key to Reflexive Self -Consciousness and free self -determination.

This archive contains freely downloadable files of over 250 of Eugene Halliday’s recorded talks, together with many of his written works, plus a selection of his artwork.

Eugene Halliday referred to himself simply as ‘an artist’. He gave hundreds of talks (many of which were recorded) covering an astonishing variety of subjects, in or around the Manchester and Liverpool areas of Northwest England, to small groups of twenty or so interested people up to seated audiences of over one hundred and fifty. Throughout his life he also wrote numerous essays, poems, and plays. Shortly after his death in 1987, Yvonne and Fred Freeman founded The Melchisedec Press, specifically for the purpose of publishing ‘The Collective Works of Eugene Halliday’ in hardback form, and those volumes that were published are also included here in this archive.

If you would like advice on what to download from someone who is familiar with the material contained in this archive and who may also be able to help direct your search, a ‘contact’ page has been provided.
